Endurance Groups
We have several Groups training at
different venues across the City.
Scotstoun
Charlie Murray, Jim Harvie,
Derek Watson, Jason Boyle, Lynn McGarry and Kenny McVey coach our Middle Distance Group.
They train at Scotstoun Stadium on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7pm.
This group competes at all distances from 800m to Cross Country.
Training session consist
of warm up, flexibility, training unit & warm down.
Each athlete should bring to each session
warm/waterproof clothing and a drink (water or sports drink). Light
coloured visible clothing is recommended for winter Road runs.
This group has produced many medallists at
National Championships and several have been selected to represent Scotland.

Scotstoun
Tom Brady leads a
group of Seniors on Monday evenings. The group
meets within Scotstoun Stadium on a Monday evening at
8.30pm.
It's mostly a
Road Running session with a short element on the

Glasgow Green
John Montgomery coaches an
Endurance Group which is based at the Gorbals Leisure Centre.
Training takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6pm and
at various times on Saturdays.
This group is open to all athletes from 13 years upwards.

Crownpoint
Graham Smith, our Club President and a National Endurance Coach coaches a
group which is based at the East End Healthy Living Centre at Crownpoint.
This group is for under 17 athletes and upwards and they train on either the track
at Crownpoint or within Glasgow Green.

Scotstoun
Bill
Parker, Tom Campbell and Glen Milliken coach an Endurance Group based at
Scotstoun.
They train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm with an additional session on
Saturday mornings.
This group has produced a string of athletes who have
represented Scotland and won medals at the AAA's.
