Club
Cross Country Championships
Our annual Cross Country Championships were held
jointly with our friends from Garscube Harriers on
Saturday the 14th of February at Mugdock Country
Estate.
The numbers were affected by a clash with the age
group Indoor Championships and a mid term holiday
affecting some of the local schools but there were
some excellent performances in cold and icy
conditions.

John Innes
John's
wife Anne, his son David and his daughter Fiona have
asked that we convey their thanks to all the Club
Members who attended his funeral on the 31st of
December. They were especially pleased to see so
many young faces among the large crowd.
John's wife Anne had requested at the time not to send
flowers as she would rather see any money going to a
worthy cause. Her son David, a past member of
the Club has now entered the New York Marathon and
intends to complete the course on the 1st of November
this year as a fundraiser for
Bowel Cancer UK.
David has created a web page within the fundraising
website
justgiving where you
can make a small donation online to a very worthy
cause.
