Young Athletes League- Final

Iona Wilson and Rachel DickVP-Glasgow finished in 6th place in the Scottish Final of the Young Athletes League on Sunday the 17th of August.  Edinburgh and Giffnock were the worthy winners and will be Scotland's representatives at the UK Final.

As expected our athletes returned to Glasgow with a tremendous haul of medals.  Too numerous to list here. 

As usual though, the heroes on the day were the athletes who volunteered for unfamiliar events and earned additional and sometimes unexpected points for the team.

Some of the athletes who caught the eye on the day included Robbie Pollok who was 3rd in the U13 75m Hurdles with a time of 14.86 and John Mulheron who was 2nd in the U15 80m Hurdles with a time of 12.65s.

Andrew McFarlaneIona Wilson and Rachel Dick went head to head in the U13 1200m with Iona finishing 6th with a time of 4:32.46 and Rachel finishing 2nd B with a time of 4:35.66.

Stephanie Ryan finished in 3rd place in the U13 Girls 800m with a time of 2:41.96 on her debut in a VP-Glasgow vest.

Augusta Carmen was 1st in her debut in the U17 Pole Vault with a clearance of 2m and Jax Thoirs was 1st in the U17 Mens Pole Vault with a height of 3.60m.
