We have another bag packing day planned for Saturday
the 11th of December and hopefully we'll get a better
turnout.
Thanks once again to everyone who helped.

National Cross Country Relays
The Scottish National Cross Country Relays took place
in Cumbernauld on 23rd October. The weather
was far more benign than in recent years, although the
course was just as gruelling as ever.
For our young athletes it was the third successive

coaches, in particular Charlie Murray and his team.
The Boys team of Euan Urquhart U13 9:45, Lewis
Boyle U15 8:49 and Max Aitchison U17 8:25 were the

Bag
Packing
The Club has accepted an offer to take part in a bag
packing fundraiser at Asda in Bearsden on Saturday the
30th of October.
We will be within Asda from 11am till 5pm although we
appreciate that not everyone can stay for the full
session.
We need as many volunteers as
possible to guarantee a good return.
Unfortunately Asda only allow bag packers who are 14
years of age or over.
If you are able to assist, please contact Theresa
Ferrie on 0141 944 1619 to confirm. If anyone needs a lift
from anywhere in the West end, call Lynn McGarry on
0777 6116 408 and we will
do what we can to help.
As well as bag packers, we do
also need some parents to assist with
supervision, training, counting money and providing
lifts. We will be very short handed on the day
so please give a few hours to help Linda and the team.
The full address for this Asda store is 80 Milngavie
Road, Bearsden, G61 2TX.
If there is any additional information or changes to
the plan, it will appear on the message board.

Congratulations!

Daniel Cairns (left) receives his award for Division 2 Track Athlete of the
Season 2010 from Scottish Athletics League Chairman David Low at their AGM on 17
October. Daniel was voted top for his excellent performances over 200 metres.
Hugh Stevenson, Men’s Team Manager said, ‘I’m delighted for Daniel, as this
is his first season competing for us in the league, and his sprinting has been
sensational. We had other great performances from our athletes, which secured
the Division 2 championship and earned us promotion back to Division 1 for
season 2011’. |

Bag
If you are able to assist, please contact Linda on
0141 563 7013 to confirm. If anyone needs a lift
from anywhere in the West end (speak to Linda) we will
do what we can to help.
As well as bag packers, we do
also need some parents to assist with
supervision, training, counting money and providing
lifts. We will be very short handed on the day
so please give a few hours to help Linda and the team.
The full address for this Asda store is 80 Milngavie
Road, Bearsden, G61 2TX.
